For a limited time, please allow an extra 15 minutes in travel time to reach the Bartley Cavanaugh Golf Course due to the Freeport Septic Conversion Project.
The Freeport Septic Conversion Project is expected to minimally impact golfers at the Bartley Cavanaugh Golf Course, primarily in regards to arriving and departing the facility and we are requesting that golfers allow an extra fifteen minutes in their travel time when planning their excursions to the facility.
What to Expect
Initial construction will occur in June at the north end of the project installing the new gravity pipe and manhole and installing the force main across the large, vacant parcel in Freeport. As the work continues to the south along Freeport Blvd, the contractor will begin installing lateral pipes to each parcel. The working hours will be from 7 am to 6 pm, but any work in the roadway will be scheduled to avoid peak traffic hours.
Construction is anticipated to continue until the fall. While some inconveniences are unavoidable during construction, the Sacramento Area Sewer District will make every effort to minimize the impacts to the community. Single lane closures on Freeport Blvd will require flaggers to regulate traffic movement in both directions.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation as this vital construction project takes place to enhance the community of Freeport.
